Flatbed transport
Flatbed is not one service among others here: it is the trade. Steel, lumber, prefabricated structures, jobsite equipment, on deck, step deck, double drop or RGN.
The flatbed takes anything that loads from the side, from above or by overhead crane, and anything that exceeds the dimensions of a closed trailer. It is the equipment of construction, metal fabrication and machinery.
What separates a good flatbed carrier from a bad one is not the truck: it is securement and preparation. We apply Standard 10 of the National Safety Code: an aggregate working load limit of at least 50% of the cargo weight, edge protectors on every sharp edge, a check within the first 80 kilometres and every 240 km after that.
We run full truckload (TL) and partial load (LTL), and we take oversize with the permits and escorts that come with it.
