Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

   Only what you type into a form yourself. There is no account to create, no online payment, no profile to fill in.

   • In all three forms: your name, phone number, email address and, where applicable, your company name.
   • In a quote request: the service you need, pickup point, destination, preferred date, weight or dimensions, load description, and any photos or PDFs you choose to attach.
   • In a carrier application: your home base city, number of trucks and trailer types.
   • In a short message: the content of your message.

2. What the server records

   Like any website, the host keeps technical logs: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, date and time. These keep the site running, protect it against attacks and help diagnose outages. We do not use them to identify you or to build a profile.

3. No cookies, no tracking

   This site places no cookies on your device. No analytics tool, no advertising pixel, no social button that follows you from one site to the next.

   Fonts and videos are hosted with the site rather than by a third party, so displaying them reports your visit to no one. The links to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google Maps are plain links; nothing loads from those services unless you click.

4. Why we collect it

   Each piece of information serves one specific purpose, and nothing else:

   • Preparing and sending you a transport quote.
   • Arranging, tracking and invoicing a load you entrust to us.
   • Assessing a partner carrier application and verifying your insurance and permits.
   • Answering a question asked through the contact form.
   • Meeting our legal, tax and transport regulatory obligations.

5. Your consent

   By filling in a form and sending it, you consent to our using that information for the request you are making. That consent covers this request; it does not allow us to add you to a newsletter or to approach you about anything else.

   You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us. Withdrawal is not retroactive to what has already been done, and it may prevent us from acting on a request in progress.

6. Who else has access

   We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Ever. Only three providers sit in the chain, each performing one specific technical function:

   • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) receives the form submission and relays it to us by email. The contents of the form pass through this service.
   • The site host serves the pages and keeps the technical logs described above.
   • Our email provider stores the messages received in our mailboxes.

7. Processing outside Quebec

   The form service and the site hosting are operated by companies based outside Canada. Your information may therefore be processed or stored outside Quebec, where privacy laws differ from ours.

   If you would rather no data passed through those services, do not use the form: call us or email us directly. A request sent by phone or email receives exactly the same treatment.

8. How long we keep it

   A request that goes nowhere is deleted once it no longer serves a purpose. Information tied to a load we actually hauled is kept for the duration of the business relationship, then for the period required by tax law and transport regulations.

   Carrier applications that are not retained are deleted once the process ends, unless you ask us to keep yours on file for a future need.

9. Your rights

   Quebec and federal law give you rights over the information we hold about you. You may:

   • Request access to the information we hold about you.
   • Have inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous information corrected.
   • Withdraw your consent to its use.
   • Ask that information no longer needed be deleted.
   • Receive the information you gave us in a common technological format, or ask that it be sent to a third party.
   • File a complaint if our answer does not satisfy you.

10. How to exercise these rights

    Write to the officer listed below, stating what you are asking for. We may need to verify your identity before answering: that is what stops someone else from obtaining your information in your name.

    We answer within thirty days of receiving the request. If we have to refuse, we will tell you why and how to challenge the decision.

11. Security

    The site is served entirely over HTTPS, so what you type into a form travels encrypted. Access to the mailboxes that receive requests is limited to the people who need it for their work.

    We never ask for a credit card number, social insurance number or password through this site. A message demanding any of these in the name of Transport R. Pomerleau did not come from us.

12. Privacy incidents

    If an incident affecting your information presented a risk of serious injury, we would promptly notify the people concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec. We keep a register of privacy incidents, as the law requires.

13. Automated decisions

    No decision about you is made automatically by this site. A quote is prepared by a person, and a carrier application is assessed by a person.

14. Changes

    This policy may be revised, particularly if we add a tool to the site. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page. Any significant change will be flagged here before it takes effect.
