Steel transport
Steel concentrates enormous weight on very little surface. That is what makes it technically demanding, well before total tonnage enters the picture.
A steel load hits the legal axle limit long before it fills the trailer. Distribution across the deck therefore matters as much as weight: badly placed, a stack of plate makes the load illegal while the total weight is still compliant.
Then there are sharp edges, which cut straps. We use chains and edge protectors on structural steel, and reserve strapping for protected sections.
