Maritimes
The Maritimes are reached via Highway 85 to Edmundston, then the Trans-Canada. It is a long, steady corridor where the availability of a backhaul matters as much as the distance.
What we run down there is mostly steel, lumber, machinery and jobsite equipment; what comes back is forest products and industrial parts. Over a distance like that, the real variable is not mileage: it is whether a return load is available. That is exactly what our partner carrier network is for, and it is the difference between a round-trip price and a one-way one.
Prince Edward Island carries a quirk of its own: the Confederation Bridge is wind-sensitive, and high-sided vehicles (tarped trailers, tall light loads) can be held or escorted when gusts pick up. We build that possibility into the delivery window instead of absorbing it.
For Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, weight and dimension limits differ from neighbouring provinces. As with Ontario, any oversize load needs a permit for each province crossed, and we handle that.
